Daringibadi is a beautiful hill station in Odisha. It is famously known as “Kashmir of Odisha” because of its natural beauty. It is situated at a height of 3000 ft or 915 m in Kandhmal district. It is a beautiful valley with loads of pine jungles, coffee gardens and there are many beautiful spots surrounded by deep rain forests with wild creatures. During the British period, there was an officer named Dering who explored this place and it named as Deringbadi by his own name, badi stands for village. Weather of Daringbadi is very pleasant throughout the year. The temperature level of this place has sometimes recorded below the frozen level and often in minus.

How To Reach Daringbadi:  Daringbadi is well connected from Bhubaneswar (approximately 250 km) and other places of the state by regular bus services.  Nearest railway station is Brahampur approximately 120 km away.  You can reach Daringbadi from Brahampur by road via Sorada which is nearest route about 120 km, (NH-59).  There is also a second route via Bhanjanagar-G. Udayagiri which is about 180 km (NH-117) and there is also 3rd route via Mohana-Bramhanigan which is near about 145 km.  You can use regular bus services to reach Daringbadi from Brahampur or you can hire a private car also.  The excursion from the planes to the slopes of Daringbadi is a wonderful experience.

You can visit Daringbadi throughout the year in October to June.  It is beautiful in all season; however, if you want to enjoy the extreme cold weather then December and January will be the ideal time.  You may experience some sudden snowfall in winter.
